At one time or another we all could use some help improving our mental health and in navigating the inevitable challenges that life presents. Positive change in your life is possible and you have already taken the first step. The next involves working together for you to explore, heal, and grow.
Prior to private practice I spent over 10 years working with children, youth, and families in a provincial treatment centre, community mental health clinic, and a regional health authority crisis program. My clinical work includes complex trauma, risk assessment, and crisis management. I have a special interest in working with people to help them improve the relationship they have with themselves.
Reaching out for help can be difficult. I know because I did not go to therapy until I was 28 years old and really, I needed it when I was 13. The counselling I did improved who I am, my relationships, and my life. Something caused you to look for a counsellor. The next step is to reach out. Wherever you are on your journey just know help is available.
